This is a multi-nominated effort from director Will Ryder. It has an interesting and timely story, a solid script and some good performances. What happens when AI and realistic robots enter our world? Well in this case, lots of sex, a bit of intrigue and some unanswered moral questions. Tyler Cruise and Maria Kazi have their lives turned upside down when experimental fembot Kira Noir comes to live with them. The story is written so that we only see Maria in action once. That’s kind of a shame, but it fits the script. Kira is also limited sexually which is always disappointing. No matter how good her acting performance may be (and it’s very good here) more of her sexually makes the whole movie better.
