Shane’s World Studios, who have found themselves in the midst of a media storm over the last year, are at it again. After the huge success of Shane’s World #32: Campus Invasion, Shane’s World Studios was featured on news programs across the world. This media coverage has lasted through the release of their most popular and most recent series, College Invasion.
Last evening, Dateline NBC featured a fifteen minute segment on Shane’s World and their College Invasion series. Publicist for the company and ex-performer, Calli Cox, met with Dateline interviewer Keith Morrison and crew Monday morning for the interview. “Ever since the Rolling Stone article came out, we have been bombarded by mainstream press,” stated Cox. “We passed up several other opportunities and decided to work with Dateline NBC.”
The interview covered the college party phenomenon in general, and how the College Invasion series came about. Along with publicist Calli Cox, Dateline also interviewed UCSB Vice Chancellor Michael Young, and several students. UCSB, which has a reputation for being a party school, didn’t seem to mind the mixing of adult videos and college students. In fact, Young agreed with Cox that college students are adults and have the right to participate in anything legal they so choose.
“Overall we were pleased with the story,” stated Cox. “We were represented as a responsible company which follows industry standards. We have fun with our product, and that was evident.”
College Invasion #2 will be released on DVD November 18th, distributed through New Sensations/Digital Sin. “Look for College Invasion #3 soon after,” reminded Cox.
