This is a huge release for a lot of reasons. It is one of Club Jenna‘s headline movies and that alone makes us stand up and take notice. It is also significant because it brings together two of the biggest stars this industry has ever seen. Jenna is a brand name all to herself. Janine was one of Vivid‘s top girls for years and even got away with a girls-only policy for over a decade. Pairing these two women in an event movie is a very good idea. It should be something special. The risk here is that a high profile movie like this might swallow up the sexual heat that should be generated by this superstar duo. That is often the problem with these things. Sure a big movie with a detailed script, stunning make up and fantastic music will get you attention. But does any of that really matter if you can’t stroke to it? It is still porn after all and Jenna has fans who expect to see her doing what made her famous. If she does some of that with Janine, all the better. If Janine really does love Jenna then she isn’t the only one. We can only hope that this movie shows both superstars as their rip-roaring best.

Already in hell, Jenna and Janine have their moment. From a pure porn fan standpoint, this is already a mess. People have been waiting to see these two women together for a long time and this is what we get? Justine Joli is a beautiful woman, but throwing her into the mix this early is just an odd choice. It’s Jenna and Janine y’all. Instead of tearing into one another, they are teaming up on Justine’s pussy. We’re also battling the extreme style over substance feel of this project. The elaborate sets, smoke machines, black ground players and flames is more fitting for a Motley Crue video than a good porn flick. Even when things heat way up later in the scene, we’re still cutting away so quickly that we never really see anything. Janine gets DP’d by the toys, but don’t expect much sexual heat from this superstar pairing.
Dominica Leoni and Reno & Jerry
While Janine tries to lead Jenna out of Hell (OK, technically it isn’t Hell. They are still in the vestibule awaiting their eternal punishment) there is all kinds of sex going on along the way. Dominica is the first such distraction. She is so heavily made up that she looks line an animated corpse in a freaky outfit with a horn on her head. I suppose this has some crossover appeal for those of you into zombie bestiality porn. It’s chopped all to hell, looks more like a horror film than a sex scene and in the middle of this hellacious action, there are condoms. Sorry guys, I’m not one of those dudes who runs at the first sign of a rubber, but in the middle of a demon fuck? It is never a good sign when I notice the rubbers and how good the music is rather than how hot the sex is. This is another example of a painful waste of talent and time.

Janine and Jenna walk down a rain soaked alley about a dozen times. The effects and editing are very cool for a few seconds. It gets old fast, but the rain adds a nice touch to the sex. With water running down her face, Jenna goes to work on Justin, sucking his dick and doing a really good job of it. OK, this scene is buried under layers of style, but it is still hot. Jenna and Janine are working side by side, the rain is hot, it just works for some reason. Janine gets into reverse cowgirl and fucks Manuel like she’s dying to make him explode. Not to be outdone, Jenna bends over and shows off her hot body as she gets drilled. Even with all the style and a much softer feel than I would like to see, this scene is rather strokeable. Janine takes a really big load of cum all over her face. Jenna follows suit. This is the sort of stuff we paid to see.

In the Hell Café, the girls are introduced to all of the deadly sins. They are all interesting, but only Lust (Katja Kassin) provides hot sexual action. She starts working on Vince, sucking his cock slowly, but with great intensity. Tommy doesn’t allow anyone to fuck in his place without letting him have some. Katja takes them both on and really picks up the pace. Sexually this one could be good, but the harsh cuts and music video feel turn it into a big mess. There are some nice anal shots a facial finish, but this scene never gets off the ground.

Apparently global warming is playing hell with the climate in Hades. Justin is the devil on an icy throne and he is very, very good in this scene. Janine wants permission to keep Jenna for herself and in return, offers her own body to him in return. Instead Justin keeps Jenna and gives Janine to Julian. We cut back and forth a lot again, but we’re cutting from Jenna to Janine so at least it never gets boring. The make up and the hard cuts don’t help the sexual heat, but the women look so good that it’s worth sticking around. For someone who didn’t do guys on film until recently, Janine certainly has learned to love the big ones in a hurry. Jenna looks really good and fucks Justin with a lot of energy. She holds her mouth open for a shot and then Janine does the same. This is one of the better facial shots I have seen from Janine and it’s a frantic, hot four way.
Remember how disappointing the opening scene was? Well here we have the superstar match up we were waiting for. Janine and Jenna share a bathtub and enough girl on girl love to make Rosie O’Donnell blush. What makes it even better is that there is nothing to distract us. Just Janine working her mouth on Jenna‘s hot flesh and vice versa. Both Jenna and Janine look great and they pace the action very well. I realize that earlier scenes were stylized intentionally, but this is just much better porn from a strokeability standpoint. They do some anal play with lit candles. (Didn’t they do that in Pirates as well?) Both Janine and Jenna wiggle their butts while candles burn between their cheeks. The kissing is actually hotter than this stuff because there is such genuine intensity. Jenna bends Janine over and fucks her in the ass with what looks like a table leg. Even though the wooden pole doesn’t really penetrate her back door, Janine is still turning up the heat a bit here with this trick. I would still argue that the opening scene takes some of the steam out of this, but Janine and Jenna together this time is well worth the wait.
I am absolutely of two minds about this movie. On the one hand, there are some very impressive, mainstream aspects that can’t be overlooked. Sterling’s performance is exceptionally good. It is a role that could easily have been handled poorly, but he deserves award recognition. Jenna and Janine are also pretty damn good. Their performances keep me watching in between scenes. The sexual heat in the early scenes is painfully lacking. There is just too much style over substance. As much as I applaud any scene that features Justine Joli, that opening scene just feels out of place. This is Janine Loves Jenna and throwing them together in an opening scene just doesn’t make any sense. It takes the steam out of things early. The editing pretty much kills the Katja Kassin scene while the costumes do in Dominica’s three-way. That’s the bad news sexually, but there is good news. Despite heavy layers of style, I really loved the outdoor four-way. The rain worked and Jenna looks fantastic. Even though I still prefer harder sex, this one really impressed me. The other two Jenna/Janine scenes also worked. Julian fucking the hell out of Janine is a good thing even if we have to put up with quick-cuts and some background noise. The Janine facial was fantastic and Jenna ain’t half bad either. As a finale, the Janine/Jenna fuck is great. It is passionate, well shot and everything we would hope for. It would have been better without the opening appetizer, but on it’s own it works. Overall this is a movie is very long on style and though it gets in its own way a bit , ends up being a decent feature sexually. Fans who want to see Jenna give one final hot performance will want to check this out. It was shot a while ago so she looks more like porno Jenna than the current celebrity shadow of her sexual self. I started out ready to write this off as another style over substance movie that kills the sexual heat, but ended up being pretty impressed. It isn’t the best feature of 2007, but it is worthy of being mentioned as one of them.
