Adult DVD Empire offers Saturday Shipping

Warrendale, PA (April 27, 2005) – Exceeding demand for faster delivery times, DVD Empire will be the first online retailer to offer domestic Saturday delivery. The project will go live on April 22, 2005, and the service will be available for all in-stock items going to UPS-approved Saturday delivery zip codes.

The project began in November and was completed this week. A team of programmers designed the new shipping method system and worked on the logistics with UPS serviceability associates. The method will only appear on Fridays, and customers will receive guaranteed overnight Saturday delivery of new releases or any other product DVD Empire has to offer.

“Our customers are always calling on Fridays to upgrade their purchases to Saturday delivery;” said Alicia Berry, Director of Operations, “Now it’s readily available to change any in-stock order to Saturday delivery, just by logging into their account. They can even change orders that are already completed (as long as they haven’t shipped).”
