TAKES TOP HONORS AT XRCO
Joone was named 2005’s Best Director and “Pirates” took home trophies for Best Epic and Best Release at the X-Rated Critics Organization Award Show (XRCO) in Century City last night. Dirty Bob, co-director of XRCO writes, “Most of Digital Playground’s accolades at the 22nd annual XRCO Awards Show centered around the numerous awards given to honor ‘Pirates’ and their very able director, Joone. And rightly so – ‘Pirates’ was an incredible effort which, if nothing else, set the bar to a lofty height which most producers can only dream of trying to equal. It was one damn fine release and it ran away with our newest category: Best Epic.” XRCO was founded in 1984 to give writers and editors from the adult entertainment industry a voice in the selection of the years’ best productions. The purpose was to award works of excellence, recognizing specifically the unique qualities of sexually explicit films. The 22nd annual XRCO Awards Show is the result of nominations and votes from accredited adult release critics, all members of the X-rated Critics Organization based in the United States and overseas. Members of XRCO consider approximately 13,000 new releases for inclusion in 24 categories. The results of the XRCO are derived strictly from nominations and unique votes. There are no outside forces or factors involved in the selections, and the process is pure and pristine in intent and only reflects the true votes by the critics.
Digital Playground contract stars, Jesse Jane(TM) and Teagan Presley presented the first four awards of the evening and took the stage again to accept Best Epic and Best Release, thanking director, Joone, Digital Playground and everyone involved in the production. Joone, Digital Playground founder, accepted the award for Best Director himself, thanking XRCO for their acknowledgment and his entire cast and crew for their extraordinary efforts.
