JOONE’S R-RATED “PIRATES” RELEASES WORLDWIDE
Joone’s heavily awarded and highly visible ‘Pirates’ becomes available July 11th on DVD in mainstream and adult outlets. In May, “Pirates” became the first adult movie to successfully crossover, receiving an R-Rating from the MPAA and worldwide mainstream distribution. Digital Playground’s R-rated “Pirates” DVD is available now to wholesale buyers exclusively through MTI. Pre-book opened on June 20, 2006 and the ‘out the door’ numbers are staggering. The public interest in “Pirates” has continued to increase since it’s original XXX release. Adding to the hype, Digital Playground’s new edit is timed to coincide perfectly with the theatrical release of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean 2.’

Filmed with High Definition 24p cameras, award-winning director Joone, has created an electrifying, swashbuckling adventure that takes you on a humorous and mystical journey through haunted seas. ‘Pirates’ features deadly swordplay against CGI skeleton warriors, awe-inspiring Incan magic, explosive sea battles, and over 300 special effects. ‘Pirates’ was released as an adult feature in September of 2005, and has already received over 30 awards, including a record-breaking 11 at the 2006 AVN Award Show. Shot on location in California, and off the coast of Florida, ‘Pirates’ stars Jesse Jane, Carmen Luvana, Janine, Teagan Presley, Devon, Austyn Moore and Jenaveve Jolie.
Boasting new box art and a new rating, the DVD extras on the R-rated ‘Pirates’ disc include: 16:9 Widescreen Format, 5.1 Digital Surround Sound, Visual F/X Making of, Bloopers, Trailer, and Optional Spanish Subtitles. ‘Pirates’ will be listed in the Action / Adventure section of your local retailer and preferred e-tailer.
