Sometimes Mondays Ain’t So Bad
Time for another week of reviews, news and fun. There are plenty of big releases out right now and I’ll be doing Fashionistas 2, Manhunters, Fuck and Throb POV before the weekend. Lots of long movies so I’ll keep the blog stuff brief.
Fan Faves Registration Open: Registration for the 2006 RRFF Awards is now open. Voting will begin in mid-November so follow this link..register and then send me your nominations for Best Female, Best Male, Best Newbie, Best Director, Best Company and Most Wanted Celebrity. I’ll have dates and the brackets ready to go soon.

Eve 6: I was in middle of season 1 of X-Files and watching an episode called “Eve.” In it there are a series of human experiments named Eve. One of them is…well Eve 6. I did a quick look up and found out two things about a band I really like. First, Eve 6 broke up two years ago. No wonder they haven’t had any new albums in a while. Second, their name did in fact come from this episode of X-Files. It’s funny the things you learn when you’re watching TV.

Phone Call with Robby D: Digital Playground director Robby D gave me a call over the weekend. We talked about his newest releases and an upcoming “Jack” movie that will focus on something near and dear to my hart, hot Asian women. I think I shocked him a bit when he asked me who my current favorite Asian babe was. Without a moment of though I said “Mika Tan” because…well because it’s true. “Not Tia Tanaka?” he asked. It was a pretty interesting question since Tia is probably just a half step below Mika on that list right now. Frankly I’d take either one of them or Shay Jordan, DP’s newest contract babe.
Eye Candy: Speaking of Tia Tanaka, here she is. Damn what a hottie.
Political Fun Site: Don’t worry, this is a non-partisan site for poll-geeks like me. For those of you interested in following the polls leading up to the election, check out Election 2006: Senate Races. It is an easy site to use and they update it daily with all available polling data. They did a really good job projecting the results of the 2004 Presidential election so it’s a cool site to watch.
