Dana DeArmond Fire Fund & Max Goes to JM
Dana DeArmond Fire Fund: As most of you know, Dana DeArmond lost everything in an apartment fire earlier this month. Some of her porn friends are rallying to help her raise some money to get back on her feet. There are currently two Ebay auctions for signed movies. Click Here to bid on Dave Naz’s signed Skater Girl Fever and Click Here to bid on Ashley Blue’s signed Girlvert 4. I emailed Dana last night and will be sending her a box of DVDs. I’m not a big star so no autograph from me, but she can sell the movies as she sees fit, as a grab bag, individually, whatever. I’m also going to send her a few sex toys to help replenish her collection and/or to auction off as well. And I’m even going to send over some Rog Rules gear to see if we can get a special Dana DeArmond Eye Candy Gallery going. Cross your fingers.

HD-DVD Initial Thoughts: So I finally got my HD player hooked up and into the proper inputs on my TV. Thanks to everyone who has written in with suggestions for the new reviews. It is going to be a lot of fun. My first review will be of Island Fever 3 and I will do my best to focus on the differences between the DVD version and the new HD disc. I actually ran both of them at once and switched back and forth. I couldn’t believe just how much of a difference there was. The picture quality on the HD-DVD is really incredible. It wasn’t all porn for the new player though. They gave me a copy of King Kong when I bought it, so that was the flick we watched. (All right, we only watched part of it. I didn’t like it enough to sit through twice.) The easy access bonus material is a really nice touch. As adult productions get further along the HD curve, I would imagine that you guys will dig it. It is really going to be nice to be able to pop in and out of the director’s commentary with the click of a button. Does anyone really want to sit and listen to any porn director for two hours?

Max Moves to JM: Call this one a homecoming of sorts. Legendary porn pioneer and industry bad boy, Max Hardcore has announced a distribution deal with JM Productions. The two parties finalized the deal at the 2007 Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas. Sin City was the perfect location for this momentous joining of two of porn’s leading providers or hard-edged adult erotica. It also reunites JM with Max for the first time since Mr. Hardcore parted ways with Legend years ago. (Way back in the day when I got boxes of Legend and JM stuff with a handwritten “No Max” scrawled across them on his orders.) Since 1992 Max has worked hard to create cutting edge porn, carving out a niche for him that is unmistakably “Hardcore.” His signature style is immediately recognizable and many of the moves he created have become standard operating procedure for pornographers everywhere. JM owner Jeff Steward is excited to have Max and his entire catalog on board.
“Max Hardcore is probably more devoted to giving his fans exactly what they expect than anyone else in the entire industry, and that is just one of the many reasons he will fit in perfectly here at JM Productions,”
According to the new deal, Max will release two titles each month through JM. Starting with “Max Faktor 19” during the week of March 5th, they will bring smut fans a bi-monthly dose of Hardcore, the Max way. They hope to have his entire catalog available for order fulfillment by the end of March. JM Productions will announce additional Max Hardcore release schedules as they become available. Fans interested in Max Hardcore and JM Productions product should visit MaxHardcore.com & JerkOffZone.com today. Distributors looking to carry the company’s lineup can contact JM toll free at (800) 550-3659.
