DAVID AARON CLARK’S “ASIA NOIR” MARKS NEW PHASE IN MAVERICK DIRECTOR’S UNIQUE BRAND OF PORNOGRAPHY.

Today marks the release of 2003 AVN nominee for Best Video Director and Best All-Sex Series DAVID AARON CLARK’s “ASIA NOIR,” his first show for this year through VIDEO TEAM.

“I’ve never shot with such an extraordinarily perfect cast. We were all coming off of the AVN Expo, and everybody was in a dynamic state of being still ready to party but also galvanized to start taking care of business in the New Year.

“I had been asked to do what I basically decided would be a ‘mansion-porn’ exercise, with rich settings and good production values, but with a really ferocious gonzo edge – true gonzo, in the style, particularly, of John Leslie, my favorite porn director ever. I went for a beautiful, romantic sunlit veneer that gets darker as the movie progresses, as each dream state of sexual frenzy leads to another shift in perception of reality.

“But what’s really important is that the sex is the best I’ve ever shot. I was allowed to cast whomever I wanted, and the actresses are all favorites – working with Sabrine Maui for the first time was a blast, and I had just shot a great scene for my website with Nyomi and Lyla, so they just hit the next level for me. And working with Marcus for the first time was an incredible pleasure – I can’t think of a male performer more capable of being smart, funny and a force of nature like that all at the same time. Darren James also starts proving himself here as an essential performer.

“As usual, I spent over a month editing the show myself, doing the music, as well. Since I’m a one-man band, I don’t put them out as often as some folk manage to. But when my titles do arrive, you can be assured I’ve put my all into each and every one. This time I was out to prove that you can combine true gonzo-style sex shooting with more layers, and not detract from the heat.
