Celebrity Sex Tape, Tera Hosting AVN Awards & Ron Paul
Long Island MILFLITA: Remember Amy Fisher? The 16 year old hooker who tried to kill the wife of an older man she was in love with? Name doesn’t ring a bell? Then you’re under 30 I guess. Well, the Long Island Lolita served seven years in prison and has been out for a while. Well now she is the star of the latest ‘celebrity’ sex tape. I guess we can call her a celeb. In a world where Kim Kardashian and Ray Jay qualified, Amy fits right in. As has been the case with several celebrity sex tapes, Red Light District grabbed up the rights to this one. They have a web site www.AmyFisherCaughtOnTape.com that offers you a glimpse at an advance trailer. It’s censored and not very long, but I would imagine they are going to tease the hell out of this thing before making it available to us. I’m a big geek for these celeb tapes, so you know I’ll grab Amy’s. She doesn’t look too bad and there is no way it can be as poorly made as the Kim Kardashian tape. (But she is so fucking hot, how do you pass it up?) You know I never did pick up my copy of that Toastie Exposed. I should grab one of those and at least check it out. And what ever happened to that American Idol chick’s porn flick. I had one of those on order, but it never came out. While we’re on the subject of celebrity porn how about a discussion topic. Who is the hottest celeb to do a sex tape and which of the tapes is the best overall porn. Pam, Tonya Harding, Paris, Chynna, Kim K or others? Send me your thoughts.

Tera Patrick Hosting AVN Awards: In eight years in the industry, Tera Patrick has done just about everything. From here 2001 Starlet of the Year Award to the formation of Teravision, she has been a true legend. This year she has already hosted the XRCO Awards and the XBiz Awards. Now she is ready to join the ranks of those who have hosted the AVN Awards. It is actually a very big honor and certainly one that Tera has earned in recent years. It should be an interesting show and Tera will certainly lend some great eye candy to the stage.

New Additions on Links Page: Not sure how often you guys visit the Links Page or the Special Links Pages I have added (Like the Longer List of Adult Sites) pages, but I have added quite a bit to both recently. I added this additional links pages to prevent the official Links page from getting too long. That Adult Links page has the sites bunched together by genre and am working on linking them to reviews and free galleries as well. Let me know what you think of that page. It’s something I would like to spend more time on if you guys think it’s worth it to have the links bunched together that way.

The Ron Paul Love-Fest: Before I even start this, I want to state that a number of friends and people I genuinely respect whole-heartedly support Ron Paul for President. I am all for open dialog and mean no disrespect by what I’m about to write. Clearly people have different reasons for support different candidates, but the time has come to shed some light and some logic on this strange phenomena. It seems to me that there are three branches to the Ron Paul tree and it’s time we split them up and took a closer look. The first is made up of genuine supporters. The guy is a member of Congress and has managed to win re-election with some rather unconventional views. He ran for President as a Libertarian and has some solid credentials. Those of you who simply support Ron because of these core values are awesome. I definitely want to see BOTH parties lean more towards a Libertarian agenda. Branch two is the one that seems to be the most vocal. These are the Johnny/Jane come latelys who have magically appeared both in the porn world and the political landscape in general. These are the people who flood message boards with “Ron Paul is the only person I would vote for over a Democrat” or “If Ron Paul wins the nomination I will end 40 years of voting Democrat.” Sorry guys, but I’m going to call bullshit here. Let me explain. I have a lot of friends in the porn world who support Ron and that’s great. Libertarians are the best hope for this business. I’ve been saying that for 20 years. Republicans get all the heat from the industry press, but we don’t really have many friends over on the other side of the aisle either. President Clinton did sign the CDA after all. I have also heard from a number of liberal, left-leaning, outright leftist friends and family members about how much they LOVE Ron Paul and would consider voting for him. This amazes me and when I try to pin them down, I can’t get a straight answer. What is it about Ron that these left-of-center friends of mine love? Is it his stand on abortion? Doubtful since I have heard a million times “Rog, how can you vote for someone who is pro-life?” Is it his idea to abolish Government agencies like the Department of Education? Doubtful again since many of these same friends scream at me whenever I have suggested the same thing. If President Bush were to mention it, many of the same people who are trumpeting Ron Paul would scream about what a right-wing fascist nut bar he is. Is it his support of a flat or alternative tax? What about the S-CHIP thing? Bush is getting killed for not wanting to expand it. Paul would do away with it altogether. Also doubtful since very few people actually support that when it comes down to details. So what is it? Is it JUST the porn thing? Is it the “strict constructionist” thing? Right, don’t get me started there. That’s a ten page rant easily. So that leaves us with the War. Ron Paul is the only Republican who sticks by an absolute “out this second” policy. (I’m not sure which of the Dems has this, other than Dennis Kucinich.) I can see where that might be an appealing position for some people. I can also see how he would pull anti-war/anti-Bush Republicans and Libertarians into the camp. The question remains why this issue would pull in the anti-war/anti-Bush Democrats. You already have Kucinich. Luke Kucinich, Paul would pull out on day one and opposed to the death penalty. It seems that Ron would only pull left leaning Dems who happen to be pro-life and anti Federal spending away from Kucinich. That just doesn’t seem to add up to me. If it’s the war, then there just seems to be other candidates who might match views better. Ironically enough, I support a LOT of what Ron Paul stands for, but it is his “out now and let the chips fall where they may” attitude that turns me off. I want the war over, but pulling the plug is not an exit strategy. So those second branch folks are the ones I’m really interested in. I’d love to hear from you over the next few months. The third branch? That’s where the Oliver Stone fan in me kicks in. It’s pretty obvious that a LOT of the money coming to Ron Paul is coming from people who wouldn’t vote for him in a million years. Why give then? Simple. If he gets enough money, he gets to stick around long enough in the primaries, he might just be talked into making a 3rd party run. If he does that, he is guaranteed to bleed enough votes from Rudy or Romney or whoever wins the Republican nomination. That’s where all those AOL messages about “I would vote for Ron Paul over any Democrat” messages come in. It feels like he’s getting an awful lot of unlikely support that makes sense in the long run. It’s pretty simple. Rudy can beat Hillary. Ron Paul can’t. Who knows, maybe the Republicans can convince Al Gore to run as well. Then we’ll really have some fun. Oh and by the way, in case anyone missed it. This is NOT an attack on Ron Paul or anyone who supports him. He has a lot of interesting things to say and the people who genuinely support him deserve a lot of credit. We will definitely take a closer look at his ideas in the upcoming months.
