While Rog was kind enough to send me this toy several months ago, the packaging had begun collecting dust on the top shelf of my closet with me returning back to my busy schedule at school. I never would have thought mid-terms of all things would have given me the perfect excuse to test out the power of the Silent Vibrations. But as a friend (I’ll call her Aurora, after my favorite actress) and I lay in my bed drinking beer while reviewing our Sociology of the Family material, I got a sudden urge to get off of my studying and instead get on top of Aurora. Tossing the book to the floor, I advanced on Aurora and began making out with her, something that isn’t new to us (it’s amazing what a few drinks and $20 can prompt the two of us to do to each other) and suggested trying out the Silent Vibrations vibrator resting in my closet. Aurora was up for it, so we unsheathed it from its’ plastic wrapping and prepared to marvel at what Vibrations had in store for us.

This is where I give the Vibrations props for two things: first, helping me finally score some fun toy foreplay with Aurora, and second, for being the best vibrator I’ve reviewed to date!

As Aurora guided the Vibrations inside of me, I was overcome with the sensation of experiencing a completely different kind of vibrator. Unlike my beloved Gyro, the Vibrations operated a more mechanical, circular motion, similar to the Jackrabbit, but minus the vaginal abuse and featuring much more rhythmic movement. This struck me as more realistic to actual sexual intercourse than vibrators that shake you like a rattling carburetor or vibrators that permanently turn you off from men less endowed than 10 inches. Even when Aurora adjusted the speed to its’ fastest setting, there was still a harnessed effect to it, keeping the pace adjustably sensual.

While Aurora worked the Vibrations in and out of me, I was also struck by the sculpted curvy form, complete with G-spot tickling tip. Coupled with the sheer thickness of the plastic, I have no problem in admitting that it was the most realistic toy I’ve ever used (although vastly more satisfying, since none of my partners were anywhere near as attractive as Aurora or her namesake) and brought me to climax fairly easily, much to the delight of myself and Aurora.

Amazingly, while the Vibrations is not entirely silent, it is remarkably quiet, which is ideal if you live in a house of several roommates like I do and want to frig off with some privacy. Also, Doc Johnson offers a few different takes on the shape of the Silent Vibrations vibrator, including one resembling a blown-up bullet, which would be great for anybody feeling apprehensive about the curves of this particular toy in question. However, admittedly, the Vibrations is not as powerful as most vibrators on the market, which will probably be disappointing to a number of vibrator users. As such, despite the fact that the Vibrations has replaced the Gyro as my new best friend, I will assign it the appropriate ranking of B+.

Weaknesses: Not as powerful as most other vibrators.
