OK so I’m a month late in writing a little wrap up on this year’s March Madness Tournament Challenge. Forgive me, April was a really busy month and things have been crazy around here.
As we have for the last few years, we ran an NCAA Bracket Challenge. We got a bit of a late start, but managed to get 25 entrants into the contest including a number of adult industry folks, fans and last year’s winner USC CPA.
Sabrina Deep has decided to publicly support charitable causes any time that she runs in a contest which grants her a money prize. A regular donor in her privacy, Sabrina took inspiration from Girlfriends Films regular donations to come forward in the hope of inspiring others in the adult industry to give back for a good cause.
The Guttmacher Institute was selected to receive a gift of $1000 from Girlfriends Films, on behalf of AVN Media Senior Editor and Chief Legal Analyst Mark Kernes. The donation to the Guttmacher Institute is the April selection for Girlfriends Films’ monthly charity program.

Sexy Belgium born adult actress Eva Karera (http://www.eva-karera.com) is taking part in the 27th Annual Los Angeles AIDS Walk. The yearly event helps to raise money for AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) and various other AIDS service organizations. On October 16th, Eva will be joining other adult stars as part Team Evil Angel.
In 2010, the team from Evil Angel was the 19th highest fundraising team, raising over $13,000. While there are only 2 days left to join the team through the online registration site, people can join all the way up through the day of the walk.
Porn Star Raven Alexis is battling brain cancer and new promo company, Naughty Swag, has created the Team Raven Alexis FU*K Cancer fundraising t-shirt for fans to show their support in her fight. On this 10th anniversary of the tragic events of September 11th, 2001 we are all reminded at every turn to “never forget” and certainly that is true. None of us will, nor could we, ever forget what happened on that day. The loss, the sacrifice, the pain and the heroism are burned in our memory and our national consciousness is forever changed.
